In the New Testament, Jesus addresses the sacrifices made by His followers, including leaving home and family for His sake. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says:
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” (Matthew 19:29, NIV)
This passage highlights the promise of great reward and eternal life for those who make sacrifices for the sake of following Christ.
